schedule of love.

Carefully read the following poem. In a well organized essay, determine the tone of Schedule of Love and explain the speaker's final attitude toward his/her subject using literary devices such as repetition, assonance, irony, sensory imagery, and diction.

surprise! at eyes' first glance in the morn
never dost thou fail to say hello.
surprise! at bell's first toll,
never dost thou forget these hands so cold.
surprise! with every hiatus noon,
never dost thou neglect the hungry moans.
and at every sweet sorrow part, surprise!
never dost thou fail to claim your love.

never dost thou fail nor forget.
nor fall to neglect.
what a surprise, that thou never miss a step,
nor rearrange this orderly kept
Schedule of Love.

pH

your positivity attracts me
canceling out my negativity
making things neutral.
neutral like an acid & a base reacting..
creating.. a pH of seven.
seven, an odd number.
odd like a pair of mix matching socks on cold feet.
like two minus one is an odd end.
an end i cant defend.

so sweet.

i bend down to tie my shoe,
then stand to say a word
and see that he is turned and
living up to our founding father's beliefs
that all men are created equal,
he speaks to all but one.
isnt he so sweet.

i do my best and give my all
to try to win this race..
just want to say the perfect words
yet i see that he is turned
living up to the expectations and desires
of all but one.
isnt he so sweet.

a kind heart, who yearns to please all
and is always at best
here, and there and everywhere,
this makes it tough
for one,
for all is enough,
all but one.
isnt he so sweet.
